Brilliant designer Alexander McQueen dies at 40

Fashion designer Alexander McQueen was found dead in his home today at the very young age of 40. What a loss for the fashion world! For those that don’t know, Alexander McQueen was the creator of those fierce lobster claw shoes that Lady GaGa sports in her “Bad Romance” video.

I am such a fan of Lady GaGa’s. She is a huge talent!! Yes, she is a “PopStar” but she’s also an accomplished musician and songwriter. The lyrics to her club hits are very catchy but there’s a message there. Just listen. Note to Monica “Danger” Leon

Hey Monica! I will probably send you a text message later to reiterate what I am about to say right now. So the reunion show is later today (the taping of it) and you have recently asked whether you should beat up Unique or not. My first response is “Yes, beat her ass! She talked a whole lot of shit!” However, the thoughtful Lenette says “No, Monica. Don’t do it”.

We already know that VH1 is going to milk the hell out of this show and your image as a “crazy ass woman”. You are on an upward trajectory. Don’t spoil it now. I know that it is very tempting to go in whooping ass and taking names later. Please remember what you and your family have already went through because of everything that has transpired. If you have “handlers” that are telling you that actin’ a fool will further your career, take their advice with a grain of salt. They are only trying to ride on your coattails and if you should make a misstepp and are forced out of the spotlight, guess what? They won’t be there for you.

I’m sure it sounds like I am wrambling, and I am. I have a horrendous headache and can barely think clearly enough to put a cute outfit together, let alone write a heartfelt note of encouragment to you. I need to go lay down. Just remember what we spoke about on the phone and your future plans. Don’t get sidetracked and bamboozled into becoming a circus act. You are a very intelligent,  talented and beautiful young woman. The past is just that, the past! You have your whole life ahead of you. Please continue to make smart decisions that will sustain you in the long run.

Danger!!! Are your children being influenced by reality tv?

Are reality shows too influential on young minds? Hell, are they too influential on grown folks? Think about it for a minute. We have tons of shows on television right now that operate under the pretense of some person, famous or not, finding “love” or money or whatever else the ingenious producers can come up with. Some of these shows are a joke! When “Flavor of Love” aired, who in their right mind really wanted to get with Flavor Flav?!? For real though? I am a huge fan of Public Enemy, but Flavor Flav?!? 911 might be a joke but so is Flav!! I am addicted to reality television shows but for me they are just that…. television, NOT REALITY! 

VH1’s “For the Love of Ray J” is my latest addiction. This show is actually plausible. Ray J is attractive, young, single and sexy. The ladies competing for his attention are also attractive, young, single and sexy. I can believe that at least a few of the young ladies are there to “be with him”, while more than a couple may be there for the exposure. It’s Hollywood, y’all!! 

Miss Monica “Danger” Leon is one of the break-out stars from this show. Anyone who has watched the show knows that Monica, aka Danger, is the girl with the Tiger tattoo on her face. Monica has been so influential in her short time on tv that one young woman has decided to follow in her footsteps and get the exact same tattoo on her face. Granted, Monica is a beautiful young woman and the tattoo suits her, it affords her the autonomy to be herself and stand out from the rest. On her myspace page, Monica asserts that she’s flattered by the actions of this uber-fan. Okay, sure. They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

Because this is my blog, let me interject. I HATE when people copy me! Seriously! Some would say that I’m immature for thinking this way….. um… no… I just like to have my own shit! I got mine, you go get yours! I endured years of ridicule in school because I was different and I don’t appreciate anyone jacking my style now that it’s trendy!

Enough about me. I would like to know one thing: why are our children so quick to follow and not lead? Please just be yourself, whatever the hell that may be!! This revelation may require some action on your part. Be still. Be quiet. Listen to who you are. If you are quiet long enough you will hear it.

See? I didn’t make it up and I’m not mad at him!! Do you see what his “blonde dyke” looks like?!?!  She is HOT!!! Her name is Amber Rose and she is of mixed ancestry, Italian and Cape Verdean to be exact. Cape Verde is 385 miles west of Senegal, Africa. The majority of Cape Verdeans are of Portugese and African decent. This is not to say that Amber is Italian, Portugese and African. She may very well be just Italian and Portugese or just Italian and African.

Let’s get one thing straight, I am not saying she’s a dyke. She has called herself bi-sexual in interviews, and just recently has said that she loves to “eat”. She also used to be a stripper and a lot of strippers are either bi or gay. Not all, but a lot…..

Here, Amber was featured in Smooth magazine (an African American men’s magazine in the 25-34 demographic). 

Okay, so Smooth was just the beginning for her, along with the music videos that she’s appeared in. It looks like she’s coming up in the world. Thank goodness. See, it’s never too late to turn it around! Whatever “it” is that you want to turn around.
